Prime Minister Hon. James Marape has given K5 million to the Usino-Bundi Rural Hospital in Madang, fulfilling a commitment he made in August 2020 when he first visited this rural district.

Minister Raminai, Minister Uguro, PM Marape, Governor Yama and Minister Simon at Usino-Bundi

PM Marape presented the K5 million to Usino-Bundi MP and Education Minister Hon. Jimmy Uguro, a member of his ruling Pangu Pati, during a visit on Thursday (March 17 2022).

He was accompanied by Madang Governor Hon. Peter Yama, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Hon. John Simon, and Higher Education and Sports Minister Hon. Wesley Raminai.

“The last time I visited here, in August 2020, I made a commitment of K5 million for the Usino-Bundi Rural Hospital,” PM Marape said.

“I have now brought this money to fulfil that commitment.

“I want this money to be used to build a good hospital to serve the rural people of Usino-Bundi.

“This hospital must serve our people so they do not need to go to Lae or Madang to seek medical assistance.

“It will be a rural Level 4 hospital to serve people in this part of the country.”
