PM Marape passes condolences on passing of Kerema MP Hon. Richard Mendani

Prime Minister Hon. James Marape has passed his condolences to the family, friends and people of Kerema in Gulf on the passing of Kerema MP Hon. Richard Mendani.

Hon. Mendani passed away in Port Moresby on Friday night.

“The passing of Hon. Mendani is another great loss to the people of Kerema and Gulf Province in such a short period of time,” PM Marape said,

“We recently lost another great Gulf leader, former Prime Minister Right Hon. Sir Mekere Morauta, and now we mourn the passing of Hon. Mendani.”

PM Marape said Hon. Mendani was an educated MP from a remote part of PNG who served his people well.

“Hon. Mendani was first elected into Parliament in 2012 and was a two-time MP for Kerema until his passing,” PM Marape said.

“He came from a remote part of Gulf and held a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of PNG

“He was committed to serving his people, even in Opposition, until his untimely passing.

“I pass my sincere condolences to the immediate family of Hon. Mendani, friends, and people of Kerema and Gulf on the occasion of his passing.”
