Prime Minister Hon. James Marape says Papua New Guineans should not be misled by the many fake Cabinet lists being posted on social media.
The Prime Minister, on the eve of announcing his Cabinet tomorrow (August 23 2022), said it was very unfortunate that many people believed this “fake news” being posted on social media forums as the truth.
“There have been so many postings on social media of fake Cabinet line-ups,” PM Marape said.
“I want to encourage Papua New Guineans not to peddle fake news, and not to believe everything that’s posted on social media as gospel.
“Any news of Cabinet line-ups will come from my Office – not from fake news peddlers on social media.”
“I will announce the Cabinet line-up early tomorrow and the rationale of the new structure.
“We will then proceed to our 10am appointment at Government House.”
